Posted: 2019-09-20

Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) student John Irish V. Lachica bagged the Outstanding Delegate Award during the Philippine Model Congress 2019 held at the Senate of the Philippines last September 8.

This event aims to strengthen the voice of the Filipino Youth, instill political awareness and civic involvement amongst them, and build a community of young citizens who are positively invested in the country's future.

Acting as a lawmaker, Lachica represented FEU Alabang in the conference and exchanged meaningful discussions with other participants from different local universities.

Out of 73 delegates from the Committee Sessions and more than 400 in the Plenary Hall, Lachica was able to receive this award, bringing absolute pride and honor to the Senior High School Department.

Aside from this achievement, Lachica was also awarded for writing the Most Outstanding Position Paper in the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Pillar last February 23, 2019.
