FEU ALABANG , A PIONEER ACADEMIC INSTITUTION IN FILINVEST CITY

Posted: March 6, 2018

Here are excerpts of Mr. Benson T. Tan’s recent interview with Vibe Magazine. The Executive Director of FEU Tech talks about opening the pioneer academic institution, FEU Alabang,  this year at Filinvest City.

What persuaded the school to make a new home in the Metro South? How is Filinvest different from other CBDs?

Filinvest is one of the most progressive areas in the South. It is envisioned to be an urban haven at par with other modern Asian cities. It is also a learning and education zone and we wanted FEU to be a part of that vision. We wanted to be a part of this developing community.

It is modern and bustling with business and activities yet it is still quiet compared to its counterparts; which makes it a place conducive to learning and education. It is also surrounded by multinational companies which FEU recognizes as industry partners, this gives our students an advantage in gaining sought-after internships and future careers.

As Filinvest City is also being developed as a hub for arts and culture, our students will have access to global music, dance and arts events. This kind of exposure will enhance their academic education.

Why is the Metro South an ideal location for expansion?

FEU has already established its presence in the other areas of the metro—Manila, Diliman, Makati, Cavite and Marikina with Roosevelt Colleges. But we saw a need in the south for the brand of education that we offer, so for our sixth campus we decided to build it here. When it opens in 2018, FEU will be the pioneer academic institution in Filinvest City Alabang.
